Already own TRUMSYNT-16? Your existing license also opens TRUMSYNT-KIT, at no extra cost.

Do I have to install both instruments?

No. Install TRUMSYNT-KIT, TRUMSYNT-16, or both. One €49 license, including VAT, includes both.

How does the trial work?

Each instrument has its own 14-day trial, starting when you first open its window. During the trial, the audio is muted for 5 seconds every minute, in playback and in exported audio; a sign in the plug-in window counts each pause down. After 14 days, the instrument still opens but produces no sound until licensed. Your projects and presets remain intact. A license removes the pauses and the time limit permanently, in both instruments.

I tried an earlier TRUMSYNT-16 trial. Can I try version 1.4?

If you tried an earlier seven-day version of TRUMSYNT-16, version 1.4 gives you a fresh 14-day trial when you first open its window. A trial already started by 1.4 does not restart. TRUMSYNT-KIT has its own separate trial.

Which platforms and formats are supported?

The package READMEs specify macOS 12 or later with AU and VST3 (Apple Silicon and Intel), and 64-bit Windows 11 with VST3. Both instruments need a compatible DAW. There is no standalone, AAX or CLAP version. See Downloads for the TRUMSYNT-KIT 1.0 and TRUMSYNT-16 v1.4 (package version 1.4.0) packages. Each ZIP includes a README.txt with installation and update instructions.

Where is my existing license?

Use the license button in your receipt, or open the license page. Retrieval uses the email from checkout and the order ID in the receipt link, not the short printed order number.

Does the plugin need an internet connection?

No account or online activation is needed inside the plugins. Licensing uses a signed local file.

Why is an unlicensed instrument silent?

Open its plug-in window once to start that instrument’s 14-day trial. Until the first opening, an unlicensed instance is silent, including in a saved project. During the trial, the 5-second pause every minute is the trial limit, not a fault. After the trial ends, it remains silent until licensed. Your projects and presets stay intact. A licensed copy does not need its window open to make sound.

How do I install the license file?

Keep the filename exactly TRUMSYNT.license. On macOS, place it in ~/Library/Application Support/Liljeholmen DSP/TRUMSYNT/. On Windows, place it in %APPDATA%\Liljeholmen DSP\TRUMSYNT\. Create the folder if needed, then reopen the plug-in window or restart your DAW.

If your browser added a suffix such as (1) to a second download, rename the file back to TRUMSYNT.license. The same file opens both instruments.

A TRUMSYNT-16.license that is already installed keeps working where it is. TRUMSYNT-16 1.3 and earlier read only TRUMSYNT-16.license in the TRUMSYNT-16 folder; the license page also offers the file under that name.

Does the TRUMSYNT-16 sequencer follow my DAW?

Yes. It follows host play and stop, with clock multiplication and swing. You can automate SEQ RUN in the DAW or use MIDI CC 119. Double-click RUN/STOP to run the sequencer on its own clock while the host transport is stopped.

Does a MIDI note transpose TRUMSYNT-16?

Yes. Notes transpose the oscillators relative to middle C. SEQ PITCH MOD selects whether pitch changes reach both oscillators, only VCO 2, or neither.
